Piwik no longer fully functional after 1.9.1 Update

Hello,

After updating to 1.9.1 using Piwik, I’ve noticed:
sparklines on a widget no longer work. (screenshot)
“More Information” on exit and enter pages returns errors.(screenshot)
Things that should return “more information” say “There is no data for this report.”.

For troubleshooting, I have completely replaced every single file but my config file in my server to the new 1.9.1 with no luck. So it’s a complete fresh install! There were no errors when updating the database.

In the console in Chrome, it only reports how the sparklines were given as a mime type text/html.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The same on one of my sites (2 wordpress blogs). Because of an other issue I reinstalled the whole Piwik installation on one of the sites and now I have these broken images in the visitors overview. Any solution for that? On the other (same physical server different domain) and only updated it works well…

Yep. Same problem here. 1.9.1 made clicking any expanded view pop up for 1 second, and then it slides into “no data for this report”, though I saw it briefly for 1 second. weird.

Glad I am not alone! I have not reset my database… but I don’t wish to do this! D: It was working fine before the update, hopefully there’s nothing wrong with the database. I’d hate to lose all that analytics data! Looking forward to a fix for this. Maybe 1.9.2? I love clicking the big update button! lol

Sparklines got already fixed (thanks to SteveG): Forum Topic, Trac Ticket, Diff which fixes the problem. Do not forget to delete contents of tmp directory after applying this patch.

This didn’t fix it for me.

Apply this patch:

http://dev.piwik.org/trac/changeset/7317

Delete all files in piwik/tmp/assets/*

Does it now work?

I just applied the patch and removed the other files in the tmp/asset/ folder… still no luck

This fixed it for me!
I changed the file (both) lines as provided, and made sure there was NO EXTRA WHITESPACE after line 103…
Then saved and reuploaded the .js file, then deleted /tmp/assets

I then reloaded my Piwik page, and wella! Sparklines were working, and the enter/exit pages more info. THANKS!

Still showing as (even after removing white space at line 103):

Does it do this bug only for “Today” or for all days in the calendar as well ?

For all:

I did the fix but still no luck either. By the way Matt, that was the same fix that dfsdfsdfsdf posted. Did you mean another patch?

hyperch what is your problem in Piwik, is the same as described in this topic or another?

matt: All entries show: “There is no data for this report.”

I posted it here 301 Moved Permanently and you referred to this thread.

Well here is my file that seems to be working fine. After modifying this, it worked.

NOTE: I CHANGED THE EXTENSION FROM .js TO .jpg SO IT WOULD UPLOAD!!

Download the attachment (open direct link, right click on photo->save as), change it back to a .js file
For extra measure, open the file in a text reader, and make sure the javascript didn’t get obscured!

then replace it in:
root>plugins/Dashboard/templates/

Don’t forget to DELETE the contents of your /tmp/ folder after this!
Then do a hard reload on your browser, (shift+F5, or shift+reload button in your browser) on your analytics page, and then give it a try. Hopefully maybe that will fix things if you had the same problem I did! Otherwise, try reloading your piwik installation?

Ah, removing all files from tmp/ has worked.

Thanks, worked for me.

I have applied the patch / changed the two lines in widgetMenu.js.

Now I am able to go to the “next” page in Keywords widget to see entry 26-50, but when I click on “next” again, it tells me that it has no data to report. Same issue when I try to change the chart type from lets say pie chart to column chart. I can do it once, when I want to change it again I need to reload the page.

You saw it briefly for one second ? that’s surprising ! can you reupload all files from 1.9.1, delete content in piwik/tmp/* folder, and try again ? if it still does not work, email me the bug + link to here at matt@piwik thanks
