We are running an ad campaign on youtube creating clicks for a website that we track with Piwik. However, youtube is reporting up to 3 times as many clicks as Piwik is showing as page impressions on a day-to-day basis. Any ideas what the problem might be?
- The campaign has been running for more than 7 days now and the effect is fairly stable.
- We are running Piwk 2.4.0.
- We have also considered other referrers like tubemogul and s.ytimg.com, but still the numbers don’t mactch at all.
- We have tried to set a Piwik campaign parameter, but unfortunately that is conflicting with a parameter we need for the e-commerce solution on the tracked website, so we cannot analyze the campaign using Piwik campaign parameters.
