Wrong number of unique visitors and visits after update to 5.0.2 with cookieless tracking

Since updating our on-premise Matomo to version 5 (19.02.), the number of visits and (unique) visitors skyrocketed while the number of events and pageviews didn’t. We are using the JS tracking API and disabled cookies.

It seems that there is a new visitor ID assigned to every event and pageview, so each visit does not have more than one event.

Is there a config value that changed or something in the tracking API that was done automatically but isn’t anymore?

Ah yes, apparently the config changed so that we had to set proxy_ip_read_last_in_list = 0 (we just didn’t see lots of different IPs since they are truncated for us).
