Hello, i’m new and haven’t seen a option for this.

I started using reinvagorator (other tracking software) and this offers a desktop app which shows whos on your site and if theres a new user on your site etc etc.

Tought i have read that piwik is realtime so this should be possible right? The other software offers another option, you just set a javascript var like

username = php code to show username

Go in the settings, on the plugin tab and activate the Live! plugin and the Visitor log.

Return to the dashboard and add the Live! widget to it.

For the visitor log, it’s in the menu > Visitors > Visitor log.

With the exception that Piwik’s Live widget doesn’t track/display the user names of visitors.
