i installed 1.2. the piwik statistics works when i visit my website, but all the old data is gone. it seems that piwik hasnt imported my original vistiors.
during installation i hade to create a new mysql database, so i was wondering if piwik automatically copied the old one.
what did i wrong?

i get it now.
i allready noticed that i did the manual installation. so i had to copy the old config file to the new file.
It seems you haven’t followed the Update instructions: Update Piwik - Analytics Platform - Matomo
It is very simple but important to follow all steps. you should be able to just upgrade your 1.1 database
