I have made the necessary changes to both javascript tracking and using the image so I can view bot traffic, but I have no idea where to find the statistics. Is there a special widget for this or is it included in a widget that has other traffic included? If so, which one? Thanks!

Matomo by default filters all bot requests, but you can disable this in the tracking URL:
https://developer.matomo.org/api-reference/tracking-api#tracking-bots
But Matomo doesn’t really handle bots differently then or shows reports for them.
There is https://plugins.matomo.org/BotTracker, but it only supports a fraction of the bots and works separately from the Matomo reporting.
I wanted to write a plugin that uses the full bot detection of Matomo to store the results in a custom dimension so that you can get detailed reports on them, but I never got around finishing them.
