Hi, I’m thinking to use Matomo on my website. Sometimes it gets 30K request in 5 minutes. Generally not that much but it spikes sometimes.
Is there anyone who can share their experience.

Our on premise matomo installation tracks several sites with usually about 4 million visits and around 35 millions of actions (like pageviews or downloads) per month. we also track one site that produces high peak traffic, around 1 million pageviews within minutes (an app that publishes results of public votes and elections).

We now use 1 server with 16 CPU and 32GB RAM. So it is still 1 server for both DB and application. But we did quite some fine tuning until our matomo was running smoothly. There are plenty of PHP and MYSQL parameters that highly affects how effective the system ressources are being used for our case.
In our case it works, but it feels like very close to the limit for a 1 server setup.

Thank you very much for the information, I appreciate it.
