are there any advantages/disadvantages of the different geolocation service providers? Are some more accurate than others?
Of course, each provider claims to be the best. I tried googling, but didn’t find any real comparison (I only found comparisons of their feature set, prices etc, but no comparison of accuracy).
In the Matomo docs it says about dbip “Note: currently DB-IP’s city geolocation results do not appear to be very accurate”. Unfortunately, it does not say to what “currently” refers. Was an issue several year sago? Still an issue?
