we have a production ready matomo with version 3.11,but some features not work even pop up error message. do we need upgrade? we have use this version 3 years, if we upgrade seems like lots compatible issue will occur. any suggestion for my case?
Yes. The version you are using is from July 2019 and probably has many security issues.
I’m sorry to say this, but if I were you, I would consider whether you might want to get a Hosted Matomo / Matomo SaaS (no matter where). Not being able to update public software (a Matomo is usually publicly accessible) is very irresponsible.
aggresive upgrade is little bit danger becauz it’s a production ready sanity. so if we dont upgrade what will be the major issue?
we found some visitor’s source and ip mismatch yet
but we have some biz already use the data generated by matomo（we directly use the matomo database）. so it’s hard to immediately migrate to cloud
and 1 one abnormal things is that in js folder there’s more than 20000 js files there.
