For an e-commerce site, it is not unusual for a visitor to start the purchase process in one visit, then complete the purchase more than 30 minutes later. With a visit-scoped funnel, this activity will be logged as a drop-off and can lead us to think the shopping cart is broken when it really represents somewhat common user behavior (user wanders off to fetch their credit card and gets sidetracked, only to come back and finish later).
I would like the option to create funnels based on the visitor’s entire activity for the reporting time period, to give a more accurate view of the true process dropoff.
