Using piwik for tracking on a mobile site

Hi,

I would like to ask if its possible and how it would be done to track visitors on a mobile site.

Can I skip using the javascript tracking code and just inject data directly through some API for instance?
(IP address, url, session id, …)

Does it have support for tracking based on 1x1.gifs

If its not supported now how difficult would it be for me to add something like this to the system?
