I append ?tracker=n to certain offsite links pointing to my site. My web framework can then associate traffic sources with sessions without retaining the tracking param in the URL throughout the session. Can Piwik tell me about the number of visitors or conversions which originated with this same tracking param in the URL?
Maybe you can use Campaign Tracking,
and customize the “Campaign parameter name” (see faq)
