We need to upgrade our version of php to 7.2.24. How exactly is this done? I see almost no concrete guides on how to perform this upgrade on a windows environment. We do not use wordpress or cpanel. Is there any guide on how to do this upgrade for matomo?

Upgrading PHP is the same no matter what PHP application you are running (matomo, wordpress, nextcloud, etc.).
But how exactly you do it totally depends on your server setup. In addition I’m not that familiar with Windows, so all I can recommend you is “do it just as you installed PHP 7.2.7”.
Well, I did not install 7.2.7, I came into a job and one of my duties is to upgrade to 7.2.24 which I have never done a php upgrade.
