This Message I get at the Update to 0.5.4 (MySQL: 4.0.21)

The error was: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1170 BLOB/TEXT column 'name' used in key specification without a key length

It is necessary that the “name” is part of the Index?
If not, we can delete it as Index and all is fine style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I think this is a bug in mysql - you are using 4.0.x but the minimum required version by Piwik is 4.1
