Unable to reset admin password in Piwik 1.3

Hello,

I was trying to follow FAQ: How do I change the Super User’s password when password recovery emails are not sent? - Analytics Platform - Matomo, the second method for Piwik 2.0.3 or older. I added that section to config.ini.php as explained, but in our old Piwik 1.3 installation I still get the error “Wrong username and password”.

I know that we should upgrade it, but in the meantime, do you know of any other workaround to restore our admin/superuser password?

Hi there,

sorry no idea, but please consider upgrading as this old version has many security issues. The latest Piwik is very stable (you can even try the beta which works well: http://builds.piwik.org/ )
