Tracking from main site to secure sub domain

Hi, I’ve recently installed piwik on my main site, lets say its: (http://)www.mydomain.com

I set my domain in the wizard as ‘(http://)www.mydomain.com’.

I wish to be able to track the secure shopping cart too, which is on ‘(https:)//secure.mydomain.com’.

For Google Analytics I resolved this by setting my domain to be ‘.mydomain.com’, and that worked fine.

Is there an equivalent way to overcome this with piwik, so I can treat my site/shopping cart as one complete entity.

Many thanks.

In the administrator area (Settings), under the Websites tab, you can specify multiple URLs for each site that you’re tracking.

Ok ,thanks. Do I then just create a new website for ‘secure.mydomain.com’, and add the new javascript tags into it? The thing I’m trying to confirm is whether or not a visitor to my shopping cart will be treated as a new visit, or an existing visitor from the main site.

I’ll give it a go and see how I get on, thanks.
