I’m trying to track site interactions. Therefore, I started with tracking button (Jump-Link) clicks. I followed this help section: https://matomo.org/faq/tag-manager/how-do-i-trigger-a-goal-conversion-when-a-user-clicks-a-link-using-matomo-tag-manager/ It seems incomplete.
- I created a goal - how to configure the goal is not specified.
- I created a Trigger in Tag Manager. This should fire when the button with the href=“#comparison” is clicked.
- I created the tag and configured it as described in the Help Section.
The goal doesn’t get tracked. Also, preview mode is not working.
I also created goals with a simple purpose like tracking outgoing links, those get tracked and show up in the statistics.
