Is there a way to track a social media channel performance with Matomo? I see there is an option in the Dashboard for adding Social Media as a referral but is there a way to tracka whole account?
Yes. You can track the social media channel performance in matomo:
As far as I understood from the link shared Matomo can track traffic from a certain social media. However, a social media channel can’t be managed with Matomo.

What do you want to manage that is not covered by Matomo?
I added a custom campaign parameter to my URLs for each social platform and tracked them using Matomo’s campaign reports. Worked well to separate traffic from Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.
Yes, Matomo doesn’t track entire social media account performance like native platforms do, but you can track traffic coming from your social media channels. Use UTM parameters in your shared links to get detailed insights in Matomo under Referrers > Campaigns. For full account analytics, you’d still need the native social platform’s insights.
