Total time spent by visitors (in seconds)" vs "Total time spent by visitors (in seconds)

Hi all,

I would like to understand the difference between the columns “Total time spent by visitors (in seconds)” and “Total time spent by visitors (in seconds) after entering here” within the Row Evolution Analysis export from Page titles

Can you someone support me?

Hi there,

‘Entering here’ is another way of saying that their first page view of the visit, was this page.

For example, say you have a page title: Homepage

Total time spent by visitors (in seconds): 10,000 seconds
Total time spent by visitors (in seconds) after entering here: 8,000 seconds

Visitors spent a total of 10,000 seconds on the Homepage throughout the day, regardless of where they came from or what they did afterwards. This is the sum of time spent by all visitors on this page.

Visitors who landed directly on the Homepage (without visiting any other page first) spent a total of 8,000 seconds exploring the content of the Homepage. This metric excludes any time visitors spent on other pages before coming to the Homepage.

I hope this helps.
