One of our customer is implementing Matomo on premise on his Drupal website using the Matomo TMS.
During testing, we met some issues with the TMS and the tracking:
- debug mode of the tms is not loading properly on all pages (while snippet is properly deployed)
- the data sent to Matomo analytics are not always complete (custom dimensions missing or with ‘-’ value while it is defined in the datalayer)
Those issues are not systematic. Sometimes, we can visit a page and everything is OK and then going back on the same page a few seconds later and seeing those issues.
We also test with Google Tag Manager and there, everything is OK.
Seems the issue is related to the Matomo TMS then.
Does someone know what might be the root cause of these issues ?
