Switching website to use CloudFlare

Hi guys,

I’m switching my website to use CloudFlare since it’ll hopefully make it load faster. I’m interested in how this will affect Piwik? Is it going to make all the incoming IP’s those that CloudFlare use for their proxy or does Piwik find a way around this?

Basically I’m just wondering how this change will effect my stats.

You have to configure the trusted proxy header settings. See config/global.ini.php. There’s a commented-out entry for CloudFlare.

Should I just add those lines to config.ini.php instead of editing global.ini.php?

Yes add a [General] sectuon if it doesn’t already exist.
