Subdomain = third party cookie

Maybe a stupid question… I have Matomo installed under analytics.domain.com to track domain.com
Are the Matomo cookies are now counted as third party or first party cookies?

First party since the tracking code on the Website sets the cookie for the tracked domain.

The default tracker code you get from Matomo (manage websites) is already delivering first party cookies out-of-the-box, independently of the URL that the tracking code will be executed on. No changes necessary.
