We have a new website referrer since a week ago and I can see/tract them in referring site log generated by our server but Piwik is not showing any statistics for this particular referrer. Referrer info is passed, seen in Livezilla, in logs but not in Piwik.

I don’t know why this would happen. Are you sure it is not tracked, and tracked in other tools, for the same visitor?

Yes, I confirm, visitors are tracked using other tools like livezilla but listed as ‘Direct entry’ by Piwik, this is really weird. No exception, all visits from this referrer are treated the same way…
A week after and looking again at server webstats, we have numerous visits tracked from this referrer and not a single one in Piwik, still considered as a ‘Direct entry’.
And it is the only referrer affected, other referrers working fine?
Yes, only referrer concerned. I’ve searched the log files and found a sample of this specific referrer (ratp.fr…):

Any idea? Referrer still not considered by Piwik as of today, how can it be? thank you.
what I would do is enable DEBUG as explained here: http://piwik.org/docs/tracking-api/reference/#toc-debugging-the-tracking-api-requests
then generate a visit from RATP (in a new browser, to trigger a new visit) and look at the piwik.php output. Is the referrer mentionned? is there an error?
