Is there anyway of making a segmant of users being default when viewing my dashboard? It’s starting to be a bit of a hassle always changing it.
For refrence I’m a product of a small app, even a few programmers or system administrators that are lurking inside the prod environment is tipping the scale.
you could create a custom dashboard with this segment applied and then set that dashboard as default?
Tried to but didn’t succeed, I’m new to this…

Yes, you are right, I am sorry. I thought this was once possible, but I can’t do it in our Matomo 5.1.2. I should have tested it before posting.
I can’t find a way to set a segment as default for a dashboard. And I can’t find a way to set a dashboard as default and neither as default per user.
So Iam afraid I don’t have an answer to your question

I think the only way to help yourself here is to bookmark a URL that shows the segment directly.
The problem with such URLs is often the date they contain. Matomo knows “today”, for example:
…/index.php?module=CoreHome&action=index&idSite=1&period=day&date=today#?period=month&date=today&segment=adClickId%3D%3DEAIaIQobChMIkbvI0v_0iAMVoKdoCR17tjWtEAAYAiAAEgLo2fD_BwE&category=Dashboard_Dashboard&subcategory=1
Currently it is not possible to set a segment to load as ‘default’ from within the dashboard. We do have an open feature request to see this implemented in a future update, as there have been a number of requests for this. Feel free to add any comments for seeing this via the following page.
