I would like to use session based fingerprinting in order to be exempt from asking for consent in the EU. However at the moment I don’t exactly understand the mechanism of how which data is processed and saved.
If I use permanent fingerprinting, I can create user profiles etc. But what kind of data is exactly deleted after the session if fingerprint expires after e.g. 30min? I should still see the amount of users but do I also see visitor logs? Do I still have all the data concerning “10 users from Berlin” “20 users with Android” etc. but cannot access specific user profiles so data is not connected on user level but only aggregated in the different reports?
