Hi, we have set up various segments to allow us to drill into data based on acquisition channel.
So, for example, we have an organic segment defined as “Channel Type is search”
If I look for any given time period at the e-commerce → Sales → Channel Type screen and do a compare between “All Visits” and “Organic Search” (our segment) then the numbers are significantly different.
But the visits are the same, so for example:
Visits = the same on both on both
Sales = 5 on organic segment, 20 on all visits
And so on. All visits is substantially better than the just organic segment.
If open the segmented visits log by that filter, I get the 5 visits that converted that were sourced from Organic.
So it feels like the segment is only showing visits where that is the source.
Trying to validate this, I looked in the MultiChannel Attribution report, and none of the models gives me the same attribution as EITHER view on the e-commerce → sales → channel type.
Why do none of those views agree?
