I see in core/DataFiles/SearchEngines.php (v2.10.0)
169 'ask.com' => array('Ask', array('ask', 'q', 'searchfor'), 'web?q={k}'),
...
187 '{}.search.ask.com' => array('Ask'),
...
191 'nortonsafe.search.ask.com' => array('Ask'),
...
998 // '*.search.yahoo.com' => array('Yahoo!'), // see built-in helper in Common.php
but Piwik thinks the following URLs are websites not search engines:
avira.search.ask.com/web?locale=de_DE&o=APN10261&tpr=1&gct=hp&q=SEARCH_QUERY&ts=1421605614130
Couldn’t find anything about Yahoo in Common.php… and I also wonder why ‘nortonsafe.search.ask.com’ => array(‘Ask’) was added. Isn’t {} supposed to be a wildcard?
Off Topic:
Other search engines I saw in 2014 which are not in the list:
tuvaro.com/ws/?q=SEARCH_QUERY
searches.qone8.com/search/web?fcoid=417&q=SEARCH_QUERY
isearch.zoo.com/ofaz2/search/web?sid=79170&tid=21796&bd=2277868931247&ver=6.1&guid=79170-21796-1399064904152-583170E701278275E7EB451861617FC5&fcoid=417&fcop=topnav&fpid=27&ql=&q=SEARCH_QUERY
SEARCH_QUERY - (18) (snap.do)
SEARCH_QUERY - (2) (snap.do)
and another I’m not sure though if it really is a search engine:
