With the eCommerce plugin, how do we notify Piwik, via JavaScript, to recognise that revenue has been earned? That is, following a successful credit card transaction.
Or, does Piwik not work like this? Is revenue recognised as soon as an item is added to a cart?

“Revenue” is counted as soon as an Ecommerce Order is made.
“Revenue” does not include the “Items in cart” that are not purchased yet.
