Restrict hits like mtm cloud

Hello together,

I want to restrict site hits for each websites - i do not find a way for doing this.

Is there any solution suggested?

Best regards
Lars

What do you mean? This is really unclear for me.

Good morning Philippe,

We work with an automation for creating sites and backend users.

i would like to restrict my traffic - for example:
www.site.a = unlimited traffic
www.dev.site.a = traffic will be limited to 5000 hits - all above will be discarded

Is this possible?

I don’t think so.
If your goal is to reduce the amount of data in the dev sites, then you can use the GDPR tools to delete some raw data:

good point - i will check this

thank you Philippe

Hello Lars!
I think I’m trying to do the same thing as you and facing the same problem…
Did you finally find a solution or workaround?

Thanks

Hello Pierre,

we do not have a specific solution for this - but a good workaround.

we´ve build a plattform for managing customer subscriptions.

he create/book a subscription for a matomo instance on this plattform including x actions.
every time he meet his dashboard, an api call to the matomo instance is triggered and shows him the total actions within this month. At the end of the month he will be billed by his subscription amound and the delta of total amount of clicks.

example:
customer subscribed for 1000 actions (1,50€/month) - each action above the 1000 cost 0.001 €

at the end of the month he had 1100 actions total

he get billed this way:
1000 actions 1,5€
100 extra actions * 0.001€

this is only an example for understanding purposes.
If you have any further questions, dont hesitate to contact me.

best regards
Lars
