Reinstall Piwik and Reprocess all data

Hello:

I have Piwik working since 2009 for a website. The website is no hightload but I have noticed that sometimes is slow when showing the reports on the web. And since 2009 there are some new features that are not applied to the old data.

To reinstall Piwik I can delete all files and except the config file and them upload the new version with the backup of the config file. Thats correct?

And finally how can I reprocess all data? By doing this I will lose information? I have been reading the commands to reprocess data on the support pages but the commands have some parameters that i don’t know the meaning of them.

Another question: When you delete a website from the dashboard it will detele all records and processed data for this website?
