piwikURL Question

The server that’s hosting our Piwik has four distinct IP addresses, one of which is forward-facing web site. Piwik is currently only tracking intranet traffic, presumably because the piwikURL is not the web site’s IP.

Can I get internet tracking by simply changing the IP address in the piwikURL option_value to the web site’s IP address? Or will I need to uninstall/reinstall Piwik while logged on to the IP address I want it to use?

Thanks for trying, but making those changes had absolutely no effect.

Managed to get it working by:

  • removing the config.ini.php;
  • logging onto the the server using the forward-facing IP address; and
  • re-running Piwik’s initial configuration.
