PIWIK Installation - How do I create a DATABASE?

Hi,
I have a PHP site for which I need to install piwik. I have no idea how to create a database though I have the FTP details… I cannot ask our web host.

Is that possible to create a database all by myself in order to make piwik work perfect for my site?
