Piwik force SSL login issue

Hello,

I’m new here, and just trying to get to grips with Piwik. I have had a search around the forums and online and can’t seem to find an answer to my query, so I hope it’s okay to ask here.

I have installed piwik on a Hostgator shared server at piwik.domainA.com. I am having a problem getting SSL login to work. I add the line ‘[General] force_ssl=1’ in the config.ini.php under [General], and that indeed directs to the https address.

However, I do not see the Piwik login page at https:// piwik.domainA.com, just a server error saying:

Index of

/cgi-bin/

Apache Server at piwik.domainA.com Port 443

As soon as I remove the SSL line from the config.ini.php file it works fine. I should mention that this domain is routed via Cloudflare (free) which I know has restrictions on SSL, but even when not using Cloudflare this problem is present.

I would be most grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

This seems to be a server misconfiguration. Please ask your provider to map SSL requests to your Piwik installation.
