This may sound dumb to you, but I was surprised to see that Piwik logs files that have no tracker in them - so does it access the server logs?
Piwik does not read any log files. You can however import logs: Log Analytics - Analytics Platform - Matomo
My mistake! Sorry. But it’d be cool if it could read them (automatically, not importing) and use the extra data.
