what to do?

Where & how do you get this error? how can we reproduce ?

I get this all the time on various installations:

I am not sure if it is from a latest update because I get errors from piwik kinda often, but I don’t like this one.
Any help on this ? Running the v1.8.4 on Apache php 5.3.15 suphp

Can you try to replace this file by: http://dev.piwik.org/svn/trunk/core/Tracker/Db/Mysqli.php ?

yes let me try, but the results will show if I don’t get an error for a while right … is there any way to test ?

Since I made the little code suggested change and after the update to version 1.9 I got no error yet.
I don’t know if it is too early to say, on the the other hand an error could be a result of too many things even caused from my side while testing websites.

… but since then, no error

its now included in Piwik 1.9
