Hey guys,
I have 3 websites with around 100k monthly page views in total, distributed fairly evenly. Two sites are on one VPS, and the third site is on a separate VPS with less load. Currently i have 3 separate matomo installations (fresh from yesterday)
Would it be better to run one Matomo instance for all three websites, or should I keep them separate for performance reasons? I think that running it as 1 instance in the VPS with less load it might be better.
Currently, I have Matomo installed on a subdomain (on-premise), without using any WordPress plugin. I also purchased and activated the e-commerce tracking license directly from the Matomo dashboard, and I see that the plugin is activated there. However, the dashboard suggests I should install a WordPress plugin, while the help documentation says activating it in Matomo is enough.
Is the WP plugin necessary, or am I good to go with the current activation?
