Hi, Are there are any specific procedures to follow to upgrade the database from 5.7 to 8.x? I could not find any documents or links. Thanks in advance.

I did it previously, the only thing to do is the update of connection configuration if it has changed (eg. in my case, the server name has changed also).
I suggest you put Matomo in maintenance mode during the DB update.
