You should host your DB on a dedicated server, and with lot of space. See:
1,395.12 MB is not much. our DB is 204GB at the moment, and we keep it “small”. You definitly need more space there.

There are two kinds of data in your matomo DB: raw data and processed data (called report). raw data takes a lot of space and for most things you dont need it. but read the info in that link carefully.
(I know you said “without losing data”. But maybe you dont really need all raw data.)
