Move a website to a new Matomo installation

Hello,
how can I move the traffic data for a website from 1 Matomo Installation to another?

I’m about to close down 1 installation and want to keep the historical traffic data by moving to the new Matomo installation!

thank you, but I don’t know if we can run this script. we are hosting on one.com. I was actually hoping there is a way to export it from the database and import it to the new database and reconnect the website

Hi,

You could migrate the instance as a whole (by migrating the database and files and fixing the database details in config.ini.php).
If you then want to move the sites to a existing Matomo instance, you can use the plugin.
