Hi,

reading the docs I haven’t been able to find exactly how piwik sends visitor data to the client. I understand some info is sent using cookies, but I guess there’s more, since the first user visit won’t send any cookie.

How does the client-side javascript communitcat with the server?

Thanks. I take it then that it’s possible for anyone to send random data to the piwik server and pollute and/or inject false data into the stats. Is this correct, and if so, can it be avoided somehow? Thanks.
