Strange mismatch of metrics happens often and often with our instance.
In User Ids report for e.g. user_id = 195375 there is one data (2 visits), but when I click on View Profile button on this user, there is totally different data (97 visits):
Now I understand why this is happening. This is because Profile aggregated not by user_id, but by idvisitor.
And this is why we can’t use ‘Days Since First Visit’ metric in Custom Reports, because often for given user_id there is several idvisitor’s:
