Memory Exhausted - Visitor Logs

Hi,
we run a Piwik Instance for a customer on an own Server (CentOS with 2GB RAM for PHP)
In the past Weeks we get a Memory Exhausted Error if we try to Connect the Visitor Logs.

Here are an entry from apache error log

[Fri Jun 17 13:32:32.318825 2016] [:error] [pid xxx] [client xxx] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 2147483648 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 445810227 bytes) in /var/www/core/View.php on line 311, referer: http://xxx/index.php?module=CoreHome&action=index&idSite=21&period=range&date=last7

What we already tried :

  • empty piwiki tmp
  • increase RAM for PHP to 2GB
  • cronjob every2 hours to analyse / compute data

I would appriciate any further hints to avoid this problem.

thx a lot
michael

Hi there

are you using latest version of Piwik?

Hi and thx for reply

We had updated Piwik already to the newest Version.

We now also increased RAM on the server, so there is no Error anymore, but now the Browser was killed while generating the statistic…

That means : There are just too much data and we have to either clean the database or avoid this statistic. Seems to be no problem with Piwik

thx anyway

best regards
michael
