Just one quick question, I have been reading up on the Piwik API to automate site creation and configuration. Thus far it works quite well, however I’m not sure what the purpose of the “type” parameter used in addSite and updateSite is. I understand you can set some kind of site type, but what are the consequences and what is the intended use-case?
I did not find any documentation other than how to set/change the value itself and would appreciate a brief explanation.
