Matomo uses too many inodes

Hello,
I like Matomo analytics, but I’m having problem with my too many inodes usage. Matomo uses more inodes than any other plugin I have. I have many website using the Matomo, so the problem is getting huge.
Is there some way to reduce the usage drastically?

How are you checking the amout of inodes used?

At least on my system the inode limit (according to df -i) of a disk partition with 92GB size and ext4 is nearly 6 million which is many orders of magnitude larger than the number of files Matomo should create.
