Matomo (Piwik) AMP ready?

I have several AMP pages that I would like to track and I am really enjoying Matomo (Piwik) but for me to continue using it it would be great if we can use it on our AMP pages.

Is there a plan to do that?

I tried adding the code from hyperboy but the validation still flags an error.

How to add piwik to amp pages?

I have the page validating. but now I need help with what and where I put my info in that code to connect to my Matomo (piwik) analytics. I replaced https://piwik.example.org/piwik.php with my site name. or do I use my direct link to the analytics?

HA! I got the page to validate. Now I need to know where and what I need to put in to connect to my Matomo (Piwik) analytics.
