Matomo Conversion Report Export URL into google ads

I’m trying to get my conversions exported as an url in my Matomo instance.

It will give me an url like this:

mydemodomain.nl/index.php?module=API&format=CSV&idSite=1&period=day&date=last10&method=API.getProcessedReport&apiModule=Goals&apiAction=get&idGoal=1&showAllGoalSpecificMetrics=1&format_metrics=1&filter_limit=-1&fetch_archive_state=1&expanded=1&token_auth=mytoken

However when I’m trying to use this URL in my Google Ads Conversion Upload I consistently get an error message:
“No header row was found for this spreadsheet”

This is when I choose CSV as format and also XML as format.
Does anyone know how to succesfully connect Conversion / Goals exports into google ads?

Hi @Truong_Dang ,
I think there is a misunderstanding here.

Google Ads has its own CSV template in a very special format for conversions via CSV import.
The CSV export from Matomo which you used here has nothing to do with this Google Ads template.

If you want to do this from Matomo, you have to buy the Ads Conversion Export plugin from Matomo.

Hi @utrautma thanks for clearing it up. I was wondering if it was possible out of the box.
Because this FAQ documentation kind of suggets it would.

But good to know it doesn’t, I’ll continue on creating a parser for the default export matomo structure into the XML/CSV structure Google Ads needs for the import.
