When using manual updating (zip copy, unzip over old installation then shell updating with Console) does Piwik perform some kind of cleanup for files that had to be removed?
I’ve already check those but there’s nothing mentioned about file integrity and files cleanup :

I also saw Piwik updater: Add support for delta updates · Issue #8327 · matomo-org/piwik · GitHub (Piwik updater: Add support for delta updates) but it looks “web only/small sites”.
Should I add a feature request about having a full (meaning also files, not just SQL) updater callable from shell? This one would be able to use a local piwik.zip and do exactly the same as the “One-click web interface one”. I presumed the Web one cleanup unnecessary files…
