log_import on Dreahost

Hello, I am trying to set up the log import on Dreamhost shared hosting. and I can not for the life of me find the log files that piwik will import. it seems all my files are compressed in .gz archives.

has anyone else successfully set up the log import on Dreamhost and willing to share how?

It probably is not possible on shared hosting ?

It works, but I can not set up a cron job because I need to set it so that the import tool uses yesterday’s date. does anyone know how to do that?
