Issue with URL Shortcode Tracker

I’ve installed and activated the shortcode plugin by uploading the zip file. Shortcode Tracker - Matomo Plugins Marketplace
When I goto shortcode -> generate shortcode, all I get is ‘/’ followed by 6 alphanumeric characters. example - /fe5fd9
What should I add as a prefix to this? I’ve already tried my Matomo instance’s URL.
https://mypiwikurl.com/fe5fd9 gives me a 404 error - Not Found The requested URL /fe5fd9 was not found on this server.
Am I missing something? Any idea how to make this work?
